Team copy is not another cloud notebook
What a team needs to unify is the sentence customers see, not another notes product. When support moves โreturnsโ into the org, coworkers expand the same abbreviation in their own apps after sync.
Sharing relocates a group into the team library. It is not a silent copy for the company.
How sharing works
- Everyone needs a Team yearly seat. Personal yearly cannot share into an org.
- An admin copies an invite link (no email). The other person accepts in the browser.
- Right-click a personal group โ Share to organization, everyone or a team. Only that layer moves. See Organizations.
- Coworkers sign into CE Cloud on the desktop and sync. A locked Organization section appears.
You can still expand on the desktop. Edit bodies in the web library. The website edits a cloud copy; the next sync reaches each machine. Expansion authority is always the local library that has already synced.
Unshared Just Me is invisible to org members. โIt is in the cloudโ is not an ACL.
Intentionally missing
- No ops CMS, no full-text audit stream.
- No public snippet marketplace, no publish page readable without an account.
- No login wall. People who never joined still expand their own local abbreviations.
Brand voice is one nested greeting/signature snippet, not a PDF style guide. Change %s:brand-hello% and every template that includes it changes.
Hygiene
Scan conflicting abbreviations after import or share. Do not let the code group and the support group share short abbreviations. A personal library on a second computer is Personal yearly โSync my snippetsโ โ a different purchase from Team seats.
