What to buy is on Pricing. How to paste a key is on Activate. This page is how you sign in, what never happens automatically, and the web library.

Desktop: approve once in the browser

Open Settings → License → CE Cloud and click Log in to CE Cloud.
The browser shows a short code. Confirm it.
You return to the app. Only the login that is waiting right now is accepted, so an old link cannot sign you in by mistake.
If the browser is already signed into the web library, the approve page may skip the account form.

This is not “email a code every time you open the desktop app”.

Web: email and password

Open ce.once.work .

Daily sign-in: email + password. No mail.
Register or reset a password: a verification code arrives, then you set a new password (typed twice).
The login page does not have a GitHub button yet.
Company single sign-on is not available yet.

Verification codes are spaced out. Too many requests in a short time are blocked.

Without a valid cloud subscription, personal cloud sync stays off and the app asks you to subscribe.
Binding a lifetime key to the account is not CE Cloud.
Claiming a yearly or monthly key extends cloud time and still does not turn on Sync my snippets.
Pasting a key, signing in, or claiming never flips the sync switch (it stays off).
Signed out or after a plan stops, abbreviations on this computer still expand. The cloud does not wipe local snippets.
If Pro on this computer comes only from a cloud plan, you get about a week offline. A key pasted on this machine still keeps Pro.

A Team seat and personal cloud can sit on the same account. They expire separately.

Web library

On a trip with only a browser, open the web library to fix a signature or a reply. This computer catches up the next time the desktop syncs.

Open it from Open web library on the desktop CE Cloud card, or go to ce.once.work . Same account as the desktop. Buying a key and binding this computer still happen in Settings → License and the public payment page. The web library is not a key store.

Save writes the cloud copy. This computer updates on the next desktop sync.

Web library: groups | snippets | editable preview. You edit the cloud copy; this computer updates on the next sync. Does not use a sync-computer slot. Not a key store.

Just Me

The layout matches the desktop: groups on the left, a list in the middle, an editor on the right. Fill-in fields work the same way. You are editing the cloud copy. Snippets on this computer change after the desktop syncs. Keep expanding in the desktop app. Browsing your library on the web does not use one of your sync-computer slots.

Organization library

You land on a three-pane snippet library, not an address book. Members, invites, and Teams are other tabs on the same page.

Invites: Copy link. No email is sent.
Editing org text needs a valid Team seat; writing together usually needs two seats.
After a seat expires you can often still open the page to read.
A coworker’s unshared private library never appears here.
