Activate Pro (License Key)

License activation unlocks Pro after purchase: you receive a key (e.g. CE-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx). Enter it in Settings → License. Personal yearly or Team seats also need a claim on the CE Cloud tab so cloud time or the seat clock is added to the account.

How to activate

  1. Buy the plan on the pricing page.
  2. Open CodeExpander → Settings → License.
  3. Enter the key and click Verify / Activate.
  4. Yearly / Team: switch to the CE Cloud tab, sign in, and claim. Yearly keys add Personal cloud time; Team keys write the seat clock only. Both can exist on one account.
  5. CE Cloud transfer stays off until you turn on the desktop switch.

Unbind device

In Settings → License you can unbind the current device (limited times per year; see current policy) so you can activate on a new device after switching.

A lifetime/permanent key does not write a cloud subscription. Claiming yearly extends time and still does not enable “Sync my snippets”. Desktop sign-in uses a device code; see Sign-in.
