GitHub / Gitee / GitLab / WebDAV
Keep snippet text only in your GitHub, Gitee, GitLab, or network disk. CE Cloud cannot read that copy. Abbreviations still expand on this computer.
This is a Pro feature. Free can keep snippets on this machine first.
Bind an account
- Open Settings โ Account (not the CE Cloud card on License).
- If Sync my snippets is already on, the Account page sends you back to License to turn it off. The two personal sync paths cannot run together.
- Sign in with GitHub / Gitee, or paste a GitLab address and token, or fill in the disk address, username, password, and folder.
- Turn on automatic sync and pick an interval. A group can opt out of sync in its settings.
- The status bar shows sync history. Test the connection first.
A company GitHub or GitLab can use an internal address.

Local backup can run at the same time.
Local auto backup
Keep a spare copy on this computer in case you delete a group by mistake. Open Settings โ Data โ Backup, pick a folder and an interval, or run it once now. This is a folder on this machine, not CE Cloud.
- Your private groups and snippets. Copy the folder before a new computer, or restore from the in-app import.
- It does not back up organization shared groups.
- It can run with GitHub / disk or CE Cloud.
- The same page can export JSON, open the local data folder, or import JSON / TextExpander files. Free may stop you at the snippet and group limits.
Clear data and reset live under Data โ Advanced. Reset keeps this computerโs activation.
